My own WordPress tutorials site, Do It With WordPress, was in need of a refresh since I implemented the latest revision.

Several factors needed to be considered during the redesign including responsive design, space for ads, deep social integration and a clean, uncluttered interface.

I provided a responsive theme, that resizes to the screen size being used, so the site is just as legible on an iPhone as a 27″ iMac. In the sidebars, I created room for a couple of ad zones, to help bring in some revenue, and those spots could be purchased by advertisers from my own site.

The social integration can be seen throughout the site, from the newsletter signup widgets, to social sharing buttons and posting new articles to social networks automatically.
